This is my very first 3D project that I worked on for Introduction to 3D with Maya (Instructed by Max Dayan) and Lighting and Rendering 1 (Instructed by Richard T Daniels) at Gnomon School. We learned how to re-create a scene with an image as reference. By using Maya to model all assets, Photoshop to create textures, and we used V-Ray as our final render engine. I wasn’t really satisfied with the first result so as we learned more at Gnomon, I decided to revisit this project and re-lighted the scene in a night time vibe, which I thought turned out pretty good at the time.
Software used: Maya, V-Ray, and Photoshop.
Render Passes
Including diffuse, reflect, refract, lighting, GI, self-illum, shadow, atmos, and z-depth passes.
Behind the Scene
Some work in progress images on model blocking, initial day time render image, final model grouping/ lights in the viewport, and also a quick gif view on the whole progress.
